A nationwide public registry for missing persons in The Gambia — built to harness the eyes of every citizen and the coordination of law enforcement.
Our mission
Every missing person leaves behind a family desperate for news. The registry provides a single, trusted place where families and police officers can publish a case with the details the public needs to help — a photo, a description, a last-seen location, and how to make contact.
How it works
- A family member or a police officer submits a report with the missing person's details.
- The case is published immediately on the public registry so anyone in The Gambia can view and share it.
- Anyone with information contacts the reporter or the Gambia Police Force directly. Time matters — the first hours are the most critical.
- When a person is found, the case is marked as resolved and remains on record for transparency.
Best practice for reporters
- Report to your nearest police station first — the registry is complementary, not a replacement.
- Provide the most recent clear photograph you have.
- Be specific about the last-seen date, location, and clothing worn.
- Note any medical conditions or medications required.
- Include a phone number that is answered day and night.
What we do not do
- We do not investigate cases — that is the role of the Gambia Police Force.
- We do not verify identities beyond what reporters provide.
- We do not share personal contact information beyond what reporters explicitly submit for public contact.
